Not necessarily. Even if your hope is to publish with a traditional publishing house someday, enrolling in the Academy will have many benefits, including improving your skills as a writer, greater understanding of the publishing industry and options, ideas to effectively organize your content, a helpful community of like-minded people, accountability, marketing ideas, and much more. No matter how you eventually publish, you will always be your book’s number one advocate.
All members have access to an online learning portal, where lessons, instruction and handouts are set up in modules. All modules and lessons are set up in order, carrying authors through the whole process in a logical, step-by-step fashion. In addition to regular modules, there are additional sections with more info, such as recommended resources and links, templates, help with finding publishing services and extra help, bonuses, a “My Coaching” area where Coaching Plus+ Members can set up their coaching calls, and more. Members also have access to a private Facebook group for members only. Discussion, community, Q&A, weekly training, and other events happen within the group.
The Academy is flexible. We believe authors will get the most out of the Academy if they are here for one year as they move through the various stages of their book development and publishing process. However, we do offer a month-by-month membership.
Compared to other publishing schools’ prices and the cost of hiring help for every aspect of writing, publishing and marketing, being in the Academy is truly a bargain! One of our goals is to help you clearly understand each part of the book writing, publishing and marketing process for yourself and for you to be able to DIY as much of it as possible (only hiring help for parts of the project you absolutely need or don’t have time for). We hold no information back; we will share everything we know with you. If you have four books you plan to write in the future, at $2500-$5000 a piece for hiring a hybrid self-publishing or vanity press company to help you produce each book, the savings would be huge. What you’ll learn at the Academy will help you produce high-quality books and save you money because of your DIY know-how and knowledge for years to come.

Coaching Plus+ Member (12 months): $1997
If you enroll in the Coaching Plus+ level, you will have six, 30-minute coaching sessions available to you. Coaches are trained to help you stay motivated and reach your goals. They can also answer questions you may have about where to find resources on the Academy site or offer answers to other general author-related questions. You can request your six sessions to be spread out over the 12 months or as fast as six weeks (or anywhere in between). Some of our coaches have specialties, like fiction, marketing or other areas of expertise. Each author who enrolls in the Coaching Plus+ level fills out an entrance survey, and they will be assigned a coach who can most help with their type of project and goals. We recommend for each author to speak with our marketing strategy coach for their last session, unless they choose otherwise. Self-starter members can purchase individual coaching sessions at any time, if they choose to.

No. We can’t write your book for you, but we can definitely give you the accountability, tools, environment and community to support your book writing, publishing and marketing process. Although we can’t write it for you, we can help to make it easier, faster and fun!
You can go at your own pace in the members' online learning portal – as fast or slow as you need. In addition to the learning portal, we have weekly trainings, which may include Q&A sessions, writing time together, training on many specific topics, training and interviews with other experts, or author success stories with great tips and insights to share.
Certainly. In fact, the know-how, increased skills and confidence you’ll gain while with us at the Academy will help you for years to come. Whether you have one book or ten in you, our program offers the knowledge you’ll need to write, publish and sell as many books as you want to create in the future.
Yes. Our online training material and some of our weekly trainings are specific to authors in the publishing and marketing phases. Also, even if you are done with your writing, you may learn some great ways to review and self-edit your manuscript to produce an even better book.
No, although we are powered by 100X Publishing and connected to the 100X community of Kingdom entrepreneurs, anyone is welcome to enroll in the Academy’s program.
Author Acceleration Academy has two membership levels: Self-Starter and Coaching Plus+. Both have access to the members' online learning portal, access to the private members-only Facebook group, weekly training, access to the quarterly 10-Day Write Your Book Challenge live sessions (current members only), book templates and their instructions, #AuthorLife Newsletter, and the option to become an affiliate. Coaching Plus+ includes six 30-min private coaching sessions, a 90-minute review of their manuscript, quarterly #AuthorLife merchandise sent to their home, an Author Spotlight Post in our Facebook group, and a 15-minute author interview (Zoom) posted on the Academy's YouTube channel.

Right now, having your book get on Amazon’s bestseller list is not that difficult. It takes a small amount of strategy and help from friends, family, clients, social media friends, etc., the week your book is being launched. Your book will be listed in genre categories on Amazon, and to be considered a bestseller, your book needs to hit the top 100 list in at least one category. Many authors rally their network of friends and customers to purchase copies during a one to three-day window of time, subsequently helping their book to reach the bestseller list on those days.
Authors who have a good strategy and consistency make money selling books. The combination of each author, book and audience is unique. In our experience, authors who make the most money with their books also have other services or offers that compliment their book’s message and goals. For example, they have created a community or group interested in their topic, they are a speaker, they influence others via YouTube, podcasting, etc., they offer coaching or consulting services in their industry, they have written a book series, they have a whole brand or business that their book is part of, they offer classes or workshops (online or locally) based on their book’s message, they are a ministry leader with a built-in audience, etc.
